Bosch GDX 18V-EC – First impression

Yes, I know, it is not related to the mechanics of the Pajero, but, I just bought that Bosch cordless impact driver/wrench and I’m impressed by it, so, why not sharing it?

My old Asaki cordless impact driver stopped working 2 days ago, in the middle of a new wooden fence building, so I started to look for a new device.

The feature that I love in that Bosch is the 1/2″ drive and 1/4″ drive combination.

You can use the regular hex bits as a impact driver, but, you can install on it a 1/2″ sockets with no external adapter!

Making a long story short, I bought it. I wasn’t cheap (pretty expensive, actually), but, I got it yesterday and finished my new fence.

The Bosch GDX-18V EC is very well built, comes with 2x 4.0Ah batteries and a charger + a “L” type box, so if you have more tools of Bosch with that kind of box, you can install them one on each other and then it is much easier to move them.

Using the impact driver is fun. It is very fast and strong, I used it for 5x80mm screws and in the short video you can see how it works with a 21mm socket on my Pajero’s lug nut.
