How to replace the Headliner – Peugeot 307
|Ok, you got me there, it is not a Pajero, but, that, falling headliner is a common problem in many vehicles so I decided to share it here…
Required Tools:
- T9, T20, T30 Torx sockets / screwdrivers
- Flat screw driver
- 2.5mm Spray gun (or other tool to spread the glue)
- Glue
Parts:
- Headliner fabric.
Let’s start working…
- Remove the sun visors (T20 & T9):
2. Remove the front head lamp – use a flat screwdriver and pull each side at the time.
3. Remove the passenger handles, gently pull the bolts cover and use T30 screwdriver to remove them.
4. Carefully, remove the head back lamp and pull the 2 clips that look like bolts (ignore the black clips in my photo):
5. Carefully, pull the plastic parts that hold the headliner in place (the plastic surfaces near the doors).
6. Open the trunk, carefully, pull the headliner, be careful not to break it or to hurt the airbags above the doors.
7. Remove the old fabric, clean the surface till it will be smooth with no leftovers of the old headliner.
8. Spray the glue on the headliner and on the new fabric, do a section at the time, use a friend for help. Stretch the new fabric and paste it with no wrinkles. Pay attention to the specific glue instructions (how long to wait before attaching the parts etc..)
9. Install everything back in place and enjoy your new headliner 🙂
